Sid storms it

Shipwrecked Sid goes down a storm at aquarium
Younger visitors enjoyed sea shanties and storytelling sessions with ‘Shipwrecked Sid’ at Bristol Aquarium on Wednesday.
Created by Michael Loader, ‘Shipwrecked Sid’ has been marooned on a desert island and is delighted to share his tall tales of the sea.
Sat in his homemade shack, Sid told tales of life marooned on an island, whooped and whistled like the wind, sang songs about a submarine that will rescue him and created silly stories about crawfish flavoured ice cream and cuttlefish who want to experiment on him.
After a windy island storm Sid’s bottles with his messages, dreams and songs in were blown all across the aquarium and were collected by children who bought them back to Sid for storytelling inspiration.
Yasmin, aged six, from Weston-super-Mare enjoyed the storytelling session and said: “Sid was very funny and nice. My favourite bit was when the cuttlefish said they were going to take my brain!”
Sid will be back with his silly storytelling every Wednesday through August (12th, 19th and 26th). Sessions are at 10:45am, 12:15pm and 3:15pm and are included in admission. Children under 3 years old go free.
