Visitors to Bristol Aquarium will be able to come face to face with real life mermaids and sea monsters over the February Half Term Holidays (Feb 11th – 26th).
Every day throughout the holidays, the Harbourside attraction’s resident sharks and rays will be joined by a magical mermaid.
Visitors can listen to her magical tales of the deep and enjoy special ‘meet the mermaid’ sessions without even having to get wet as all sessions are taking place on dry land.
Bristol Aquarium’s Hannah Worrall said: “Our resident mermaids made a huge impression on visitors of all ages last year and now they are back for a welcome return visit.
“They’ll be entertaining everyone with their enchanted stories of the ocean and will be happy to pose for the ultimate mermaid selfie,” she added.
The mermaids are part of the aquarium’s ‘Mermaids and Monsters’ event which is running throughout half term.
The event will feature stories of mythical sea creatures alongside some real ‘monsters of the deep’ including octopus, wolf fish and toxic lionfish.
There will also be daily talks and feeds, hands on crafts, mini-monster tours and the chance to help feed the fish.
